Recent festive events in the village hall

It was lovely to see everyone at our recent yuletide festivities in the village hall.

We kicked off the week with a wonderful wreath making evening led by Anna from Eden Flowers in Thrapston. There were around 35 of us creating beautiful festive wreaths whilst sipping mulled wine and eating mince pies. Anna always makes it look so easy especially making those gorgeous bows. And what about all those lovely accessories to add a bit of sparkle to our wreaths! Lovely to see some new people join the evening and good to catch up with our regulars too.

Then on the Saturday evening it was our annual village hall Christmas dinner. Our group of 32 enjoyed welcome drinks, a delicious 3 course meal of turkey & all the trimmings & plenty of entertainment. This year our local sax player Ben Woodward played some jazzy tunes to get the evening started and we finished with a rousing rendition of the 12 days of Christmas.

Many thanks to those who organised both events, helped on the night and the day after – they were a great way to start our village hall Christmas celebrations.

Thank you too for your comments on our Facebook page – most appreciated.
